Brett Conger, Esq

Bio.

Since joining Louis Law Group in July 2025, Brett has brought over a decade of legal experience to the firm, focusing on plaintiff property damage litigation and representing clients through every stage of an insurance claim. He is a steadfast advocate for property owners impacted by catastrophic events like Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, as well as those dealing with the dangers of black mold. Brett’s work often involves challenging a denied claim and ensuring his clients receive the full compensation they are entitled to.

With a background representing both plaintiffs and insurance carriers, Brett has a unique perspective that allows him to anticipate and counter the strategies insurers use to delay, underpay, or deny claims. He works closely with mold inspection and mold remediation professionals to identify and document hidden damage, strengthening his clients’ cases during litigation or settlement negotiations.

Before joining Louis Law Group, Brett was a partner at The Cardenas Law Group, LLC in Miami, where he oversaw the litigation division for first-party property damage cases. He handled motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Brett also frequently negotiated both individual and large-scale settlements involving dozens or even hundreds of cases. His role included training associates and staff on best practices in litigation, ensuring consistent, high-quality representation.

Earlier in his career, Brett worked as an associate attorney at Conroy Simberg in Hollywood, Florida, representing insurance carriers in personal injury protection claims. This experience gave him deep insight into how insurers approach claims and litigation. Prior to that, he served as both a law clerk and an associate attorney at Corredor, Husseini & Snedaker, P.A., where he represented clients in personal injury protection, property damage, family law, and foreclosure matters.

Brett earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens in 2012, making the Dean’s List multiple semesters. He was active in the Mentschikoff Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta and the Dade County Bar Association. Before law school, he obtained his Florida Professional Educator Certification from the State of Florida and earned bachelor’s degrees from Florida State University as a double major in English and History, where he participated in the Pre-Law International Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta.

Before becoming an attorney, Brett taught middle school and high school in Miami for about a decade. This experience sharpened his communication skills and gave him a deep appreciation for patience, problem-solving, and connection, qualities he now brings to each client relationship.

Brett’s approach to litigation combines meticulous preparation, strategic legal arguments, and genuine care for the people he represents. Whether a case involves storm damage from Hurricane Milton, water intrusion leading to black mold after Hurricane Helene, or a denied claim that puts a family’s future at risk, Brett fights tirelessly to achieve a fair resolution.

Outside the office, Brett enjoys an active life with his family and friends. A big football fan, he cheers for the Miami Hurricanes and the Green Bay Packers. He loves attending concerts and games, walking his two dogs, Megatron and BB, going to the beach, visiting theme parks, dining out, traveling, reading, and enjoying music.
