First-Party Property Insurance Litigation Attorney

We at Louis Law Group are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for an experienced First-Party Property Insurance Attorney to join our dynamic legal team—fully remote and based in Florida. This position offers a base salary plus contingent compensation, providing a rewarding structure for driven attorneys who excel at advocating for policyholders.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of Plaintiff’s experience in first-party property insurance claims, with trial experience being a significant advantage. We welcome applicants who have successfully managed first-party property insurance cases on the plaintiff side (minimum of two years, though five years is strongly preferred). Key Responsibilities

1. Client Consultation & Case Intake

  • Conduct thorough initial consultations with potential clients to evaluate the validity of their first-party property insurance claims.
  • Provide clear and concise legal advice regarding policyholders’ rights under their insurance policies.

2. Claim Investigation

Perform in-depth investigations into property insurance claims, including analyzing policy terms, gathering evidence, assessing damages, and reviewing applicable laws/regulations.

3. Case Management & Documentation

  • Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance cases.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence accurately and in a timely manner.

4. Legal Strategy & Case Development

  • Develop and implement case strategies tailored to each client’s specific situation.
  • Collaborate with experts—adjusters, appraisers, and more—to reinforce the client’s position.

5. Negotiations & Settlements

  • Conduct direct negotiations with insurance companies and opposing counsel to seek fair settlements.
  • Prepare and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution processes, as needed.

6. Court Representation & Trial Advocacy

  • Prepare for and represent clients during all stages of litigation, including pre-trial motions, depositions, and trial.
  • Develop compelling trial strategies and present evidence effectively before judges and juries.

7. Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide case updates and explain legal processes.
  • Ensure clients remain informed and empowered at every stage of their case.

8. Compliance & Risk Assessment

  • Adhere to all Florida property insurance laws and relevant legal guidelines.
  • Offer proactive solutions to mitigate potential legal risks.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active, in-good-standing membership with the Florida Bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years on the plaintiff side in first-party property insurance; 5 years is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated trial experience is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of Florida property insurance law and legal procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and also contribute to a collaborative team environment.
