Cameron Hancock, Esq
Bio.
Cameron Hancock is a dedicated attorney whose practice centers on plaintiff property damage litigation, with a strong focus on guiding clients through the complexities of an insurance claim from start to finish. Since joining Louis Law Group in July 2025, Cameron has earned a reputation for being a tireless advocate, particularly for homeowners and property owners facing the devastating aftermath of natural disasters like Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. His work includes representing clients with denied claim disputes, pursuing fair settlements through litigation, and ensuring that property owners are not left alone to navigate the often-intimidating insurance process.
A Florida native by choice and spirit, Cameron understands the challenges that residents face when catastrophic storms sweep through the state. He has firsthand knowledge of how hurricanes can cause not just immediate damage, but lingering problems such as black mold growth. He works closely with experts in mold inspection and mold remediation to make sure clients’ health and property are protected long after the initial storm passes. His commitment to detail ensures that every insurance claim includes thorough documentation of damage—including hidden problems that insurers often overlook or undervalue.
Cameron’s journey to becoming a trusted legal advocate began with a solid academic foundation. After earning his bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in History from the University of South Florida in 2018, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.79 GPA, he pursued his Juris Doctor at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. While in law school, Cameron developed a strong interest in litigation and insurance-related matters, drawing on his experience from internships that included work with Edgewood Partners Insurance Center, where he conducted research on contract and tort law, and South Oak Title, where he learned the importance of accuracy in legal documentation and transaction management.
In July 2022, Cameron sat for the Florida Bar and was sworn in that September. Before entering private practice, he sharpened his litigation skills as an Assistant Public Defender for Florida’s 7th Judicial Circuit. There, he represented clients in county and circuit courts, argued pretrial motions, and conducted both jury and bench trials. This role gave him valuable courtroom experience and taught him the importance of strategic advocacy; a skill he now applies to every plaintiff property damage litigation case he handles. His background in defending clients against the odds now fuels his determination to hold insurance companies accountable when they delay, underpay, or outright deny claims.
For Cameron, litigation is not just about legal arguments, it’s about telling his clients’ stories in a way that compels decision-makers to act justly. Whether the case involves structural damage from Hurricane Helene, roof leaks caused by Hurricane Milton, or hazardous black mold growth requiring immediate remediation, Cameron is meticulous in gathering evidence, consulting with industry experts, and pursuing the full extent of compensation owed. He knows that a denied claim can derail a family’s recovery and is committed to ensuring his clients receive the financial support they need to rebuild.
His approach is both strategic and compassionate. Cameron understands that mold inspection and mold remediation are not simply technical procedures; they are critical to restoring a safe living environment. He ensures these elements are not overlooked in any insurance claim, recognizing that the health risks associated with black mold can be as devastating as the initial property damage.
Outside the courtroom, Cameron is deeply connected to Florida’s coastal lifestyle. An avid surfer, he finds both challenge and calm in the ocean waves. He enjoys traveling to explore new cultures, spending time at the beach, and following his favorite football team, the Miami Dolphins, with unwavering loyalty. These personal interests keep him grounded and remind him of the importance of preserving the places and homes that define Florida living.
